Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) has evolved from a food pantry to a provider of services for lifelong Sacramento residents—as well as refugees and immigrants who wish to make Sacramento their home. Under the auspices of Catholic Charities of Sacramento, SFBFS offers low-cost immigration legal services to help eligible individuals navigate the complexities of obtaining lawful status in the United States. Services Offered

SFBFS’ ILS provides access to a staff attorney and Department of Justice accredited representatives. The services provided range from consultations to full representation in affirmative cases before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), as well as defensive representation before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).

The services provided by ILS include

Walk-in Wednesday Policy

Due to COVID-19, our walk-in Wednesdays have been suspended until further notice. To schedule a phone consultation call (916) 313-7604.

Walk-in Wednesday, offered every Wednesday from 1– 4:00 p.m., requires no registration and is for those specifically seeking information regarding citizenship, DACA renewal or those with temporary protective status seeking a more permanent option. Clients are served in order of arrival and should bring their green card. For those with a prior criminal case, please bring any records relating to the case. Free citizenship consultations are also available by appointment and can be scheduled by calling (916) 313-7604.
